Manipulo

Manipulo recreates a japanese garden: the sand, the stones, the intuition of motion, the creation of a garden that reflects the self. By moving the stones to individual tables and replacing them with dancers, the public manipulates the quality, speed, spatial design, and interaction

among the interpreters. In Manipulo, the public triggers the music through the sound and vibration created by the stones hitting the tables; and the sound is amplified by contact microphones controlled by live musicians.
